Alejandro Simón

Alejandro Simón is an artist and researcher. He holds a degree in Fine Arts and an MFA in Art Research at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2011/2012).  Actually he is making his Phd thesis at the same university. He has worked at the vice deanery of the universitary extention, coordinating the activities for the faculty of Fine Arts and the construction of the new space La Trasera (2011/2014) where his aim was to find networks of work and exchange in the university community and around artistic practices. He has worked as an assistant of curation for the exhibition Rabih Mroue, Image(s) mon amour, at the Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (CA2M) (2013) and at the Salón de verano, Junta Municipal Distrito de Moncloa. He participated in the coordination of the first editions of Entreacto, (2012/2013). He was part of the educational Project coordinated by the CA2M, Aquí trabaja un artista, at the TRABENCO school in Leganés. He participated in the publication Investigación Artística y Universidad: herramientas para un debate (ediciones asimétricas, 2013) and published a book within the collection Palabras de imágenes with the title Universitario (2015).
