Diana B. Wechsler

Diana B. Wechsler (Universidad UNTREF – Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero (Buenos Aires – Argentina) / Investigador Principal del CONICET (Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Tecnológicas)

Is art historian, researcher and curator. Principal Researcher of CONICET. Directs the Institute for Research in Art and Culture "Dr Norberto Griffa" from the National University of Tres de Febrero (UNTREF, Buenos Aires), and the Master in Curatorial Studies at the same university, study program I’ve designed in 2009, it is articulated with the PhD Program in Comparative Theory of Arts, that I’ve designed in collaboration with Daniel Link and works in UNTREF since 2014.
He is also Professor of Curatorial Narrations II, a subject that is part of the MCAV-UNTREF and Professor of Art Argentine II (modern and contemporary) in FFyL -UBA (Universidad de Buenos Aires).

He has integrated and directed research projects with grants from the Getty Foundation, Foundation Antorchas, Ministry of Science of Spain, CONICET, the UBACyT and UNTREFCyT program. He currently heads the Curatoriales Studies project (UNTREF),  and the Program of recovery, cataloging and research Annemarie Heinrich Photographic Archive under the Program Artists Files at the Archives IIAC-UNTREF with the support of the Endangered Archives Program of the British Library, London.

He is Deputy Director of MUNTREF (Museum and Center for Contemporary Art - UNTREF). As exhibition curator has developed from its research projects in museums and contemporary art centers in Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Curitiba, Mexico, Madrid, Milan and Berlin. Among his recent books: Graciela Sacco. Nothing is where you believed, 2015; Thinking with images (in collab with G. Didi-Huberman, Yayo Aznar, Josu Larrañaga and Aurora Fernández Polanco.), 2015; Between times ..., 2014; Boltanski, Buenos Aires, 2013; Thinking with images, a curatorial essay, 2012; Images and stories, 2011; Reality and Utopia, 2010. Directs the electronic journal Curatorial Studies.

He received the award for art test AACA-AICA in 1997 and 2007, 2003 ABCA-AICA Award curatorial essay and art Konex- Award 2014.
