Pablo Marítnez

Pablo Martínez (MACBA) was appointed Head of Programmes at the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art in April 2016. Between 2011 and 1015 was Associate Professor of History of Art at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Universidad Complutense de Madrid professor. He was responsible for education and public activities CA2M. Dos de Mayo Center of the Community of Madrid Art, from January 2009 to July 2016.

He is a contributor of art-agenda and writes in different catalogues and publications on contemporary art practices. He is currently working on a PhD on the Buenaventura Durruti's funeral and the uses of the images of masses in film in the production of political subjectivity. He is part of the editorial board of http://www.re-visiones.net, a research journal on art and visual culture. Together with Vincent Meessen he co-directed the 19th and 20th Jornadas de Estudio de la Imagen de la Comunidad de Madrid and worked at Museo Reina Sofia coordinating public programmes from 2004-2008.
